Yume 2kki

Yume 2kki is both the first and the biggest of all the Yume Nikki fangames out there. Its the second fangame i played right after .flow, and is by far the one i have spent the most time in. Despite that i am still nowhere close to having explored everything in massive game, and most likely wont for a very long time. That still wont stop me from attempting tho and i hope to one day have experienced everything this game has to offer, even if that day is very far away.

The worlds in Yume 2kki are really diverse, which makes sense considering its a giant collaboration. For me this is amazing as i love exploring these vastly different worlds, all with different themes and artstyles, and it really contributes to the nature of Yume 2kki. It does also come with the drawback of the quality being very varying. One world you are walking through the most gorgeous pixelart you have ever seen, and the next moment you enter a world with very uhhh... questionable design choices. Its definitely an experience, but honestly that just makes it even better and more rewarding when you find a truly beautiful place. It does also add to the dream aspect of the game by making it feel a lot more chaotic, so in a way they are still an important addition to the game.
